Scene: Moonlight casts a pale shadow over a man. Stars shine overhead in a clear, dark sky. The man is doubled over near the side of the road, vigorously working his hand. Cars pass by him, but no one stops to help. He tries to flag a few people down, but he doesn't stop his motion and they speed by. He's alone with no one to offer a hand. What choice does he have?
